Mobile Channel - Dock Construction --- To: December 2028 --- Dock construction will be conducted at the Choctaw Point Container Terminal located along the western edge of the Mobile Channel. Work will consist of the demolition of existing structures, pile driving, and new wharf construction. Operations will take place from approximately 7:00 a.m. to 5:30 p.m., Monday through Saturday. Construction work will be performed from crane and deck barges adjacent to the McDuffie Coal Terminal. All barges will be serviced by an on-scene push-boat. Mariners are urged to use extreme caution when navigating the work area, maintain a minimum 50 ft clearance from all vessels, and transit at their slowest safe speed.
