GIWW, Mile 177.8, EHL - Pensacola Bay - Shoreline Restoration --- --- Shoreline restoration will take place near Sherman Inlet and Magazine Point, along the GIWW and Pensacola Bay. Shoreline restoration, material transfer, and breakwater construction activities will take place within the project area. Material will be mechanically removed from Robertson Island, near GIWW, Mile 177.8, EHL, and transferred by barges to various beaches and nearshore sites located in the vicinity of the GIWW and Pensacola Harbor channels. Additional work will consist of breakwater construction and the planting of submerged aquatic vegetation. Breakwater structures will be constructed in close proximity to the GIWW near the Sherman Cove Inlet. Work will be conducted 24-hours a day, 7-days a week. On-scene vessels will include four push boats, six barges, and four crew transfer skiffs. Mariners are requested to transit the area at no wake speed and proceed with caution.
