SECTOR MOBILE, SUBMERGED LAND ACT (SLA) - BILOXI EAST CHANNEL
General / Marine Construction (Excluding Bridges) / Dredging
Biloxi East Channel - Mississippi Sound - Dredge and Disposal Operation --- --- Dredging and disposal operations will be conducted in the Mississippi Sound near the Biloxi East Channel and Deer Island. Operations will be conducted 24-hours a day, 7-days a week. The Dredge COASTAL ROSE will conduct dredging operations in the project area. Dredged material will be transported via floating and submerged pipeline to fill and rehabilitation areas located off the southern and eastern tips of Deer Island. On-scene vessels and equipment will include barges, tug boats, crew boats, floating pipeline, submerged pipeline, and additional construction equipment. Vessels, pipeline, and equipment will be staged in or near the project area and outside of the channel. Mariners are urged to transit the area with caution and at their slowest safe speed after coordinating with the on-scene project vessels. VHF-FM Channels: 13 ,16, 69 and 74, POC: (985) 960-2819
