General / Autonomous Vessel Operations
Gulf of America - Autonomous Vessel Testing --- --- The Autonomous Surface Vessel (ASV) SEA ARCHER will conduct daily tests with the escort vessel GUNSLINGER in the Gulf of America. Operations will be conducted from sunrise to sunset, daily. The ASV will operate in one of three testing areas. The offshore testing area east of the Chandeleur Islands will be bound by approximate positions: 30-01.82N 088-44.60W, 30-01.82N 088-13.42W, 29-34.82N 088-13.42W and 29-34.82N 088-44.47W. The escort vessel will remain within 500 meters of the ASV at all times. Mariners are requested to maintain a 0.5 nautical mile closest point of approach from the ASV SEA ARCHER and can contact M/V GUNSLINGER for questions regarding the operation.
