Lake Pontchartrain - Lake Saint Catherine - Bridge Closure --- --- The Norfolk Southern Railroad will be installing new parts on the railroad drawbridge across Lake Pontchartrain, Mile 4.8, near Slidell, LA. The drawbridge will not open to vessels from 7:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m., and again from 1:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m., each day. The drawbridge will operate according to regulations at all other times and will be in the raised position. Mariners are urged to plan accordingly and transit the area with caution.
