SECTOR MOBILE, EXCLUSIVE ECONOMIC ZONE (EEZ)
General / Naval Activity / Naval Testing (Surface / Underwater)
Gulf of America - U.S. Navy Operation --- --- The U.S. Navy will conduct underwater autonomous vehicle testing operations in the Gulf of America, within a 3 nautical mile radius of approximate position 29-42.23N 085-50.23W. Operations will be conducted 24-hours a day, 7-days a week. A buoy field, consisting of 16 temporary buoys, will be in the operating area 24-hours a day. The R/V ORACLE will be on-site guarding the buoy field at all times. Additional on-scene vessels will include the M/Vs PATRIOT, PSC-01, PSC-05, and PSC-12. Operations may extend into the nearby Safety Fairway; however, operations will pause for shipping traffic. Mariners are urged to maintain a 1 mile closest point of approach from the operating area and take all direction from naval operators. VHF-FM Channel: 16
