GALVESTON BAY - GALVESTON CHANNEL

Galveston Channel - Marine Construction and Dredging --- --- Dredging and marine construction will take place at Texas A and M University at Galveston (TAMU-G) Dock No. 1, in the Galveston Harbor along the Galveston Channel. Work will be conducted 10-hours a day, Monday through Saturday, unless otherwise directed. Operations will include dredging, the rehabilitation of approximately 300 ft of the main bulkhead and approximately 400 ft of return wall, and the construction of approximately 350 ft of a new concrete pier deck. On-scene vessels will include approximately two crane barges, material barges, the T/V EVERLINE and an additional towing vessel, and ancillary support craft. Dive operations may take place intermittently throughout the project. Mariners are urged to transit the area at a safe distance and at their slowest safe speed, observe all day shapes and dive flags, and monitor bridge-to-bridge communications.
