Location: 42-46.43N 071-04.58W Bridge Name: Basiliere Bridge MASSACHUSETTS– HAVERHILL-MERRIMACK RIVER–BASILIERE BRIDGE– Temporary Gas Main Installation Mariners are advised that the Middlesex Corporation will be installing a temporary gas main beneath the west side of the bridge deck. In water work will commence Saturday November 21, 2026, and continue through Friday October 30, 2026. Installation of the gas main will be conducted from a 40x40 barge with a man lift, an assist tug, and multiple work skiffs. Upon completion of the temp gas line turbidity curtains will be installed to commence cofferdam installation. All work will be conducted outside of the navigational channel. Barges and tending vessels will be secured outside of the navigational channel outside of work hours and lit on all four corners of the barge. Mariners are urged to transit at slow speed No Wake through the project.
