Location: 40-30.01N 074-16.98W Mariners are advised that from November 2 through November 23, 2026, marine construction and environmental sampling operations will be conducted on the Raritan River near Perth Amboy, New Jersey, in approximate position 40-30.008N, 074-16.980W. Operations will involve a spud barge equipped with a GeoProbe 5400 rig, or a workboat with a smaller support vessel, conducting well point testing and installation, retrieval, and testing of sediment bed samplers. Work will occur daily from 7 a.m. to 5 p.m. Vessels will operate near the edge of the navigation channel and can generally move upon request; however, mariners should anticipate a 30- to 60-minute delay during certain sampling activities. Mariners are requested to exercise caution and contact on-scene vessels on VHF Channels 13 or 16.
