Location: 42-59.43N 070-37.27W Mariners are advised that the University of New Hampshire will deploy and maintain a small instrumented stationary oceanographic mooring west of Appledore Island, Maine, from October 2, 2026, through June 1, 2027. The mooring, funded through a NOAA research project, will be located near 42°59'25.98"N, 070°37'16.44"W, in approximately 18 meters of water. The seafloor-mounted equipment measures approximately 3 meters high by 3 meters by 3 meters and will remain in place continuously. Mariners are urged to exercise caution and avoid interfering with the deployed research equipment.
