COLUMBIA RIVER - DESDEMONA SANDS General / Marine Construction (Excluding Bridges) / Dredging The M/V ESSAYONS may be conducting dredging activities in the Columbia River at Upper Desdemona Shoal (RM 7+00 to 9+30) from 27 Oct – 02 Nov 2026. Disposal will be at RM 4 & 5 (WA side). USACE requests mariners’ transit at their slowest safe speed to minimize wake when in the vicinity of a dredge and proceed with caution after passing arrangements have been made on VHF-FM channel 13. Vessel(s) and/or equipment may encroach into the channel. Mariners are advised that the start and ending dates for dredging activities may vary due to unforeseen on-site conditions, such as gill net fishing, weather and other factors.
