SECTOR LOS ANGELES, TERRITORIAL SEA - SECTOR LOS ANGELES, SUBMERGED LAND ACT (SLA) General / Marine Construction (Excluding Bridges) / Facilities, Barriers, Manmade Reefs, Riprap, Jetties / Dikes The City of Santa Barbara’s Water Resources Department, with support from IDE America Inc. and Danny C of Castagnola Tug Services, will conduct nearshore marine construction operations using divers and a crane to replace two offshore intake pumps for the Desalination Plant in Santa Barbara, CA. Operations will take place at approximately 34-24.49N 119-40.89W. Work will occur during daylight hours between August 26, 2026, and September 30, 2026. Mariners are requested to transit the area with extreme caution at a minimum safe speed to minimize wake, and maintain a minimum of 500 feet of clearance from all project vessels (abiding by the USCG 500-meter Safety Zone if possible).
