LAKE MICHIGAN - CHICAGO HARBOR General / Marine Construction (Excluding Bridges) / Facilities, Barriers, Manmade Reefs, Riprap, Jetties / Dikes General/Marine Construction (Excluding Bridges)/Facilities, Barriers, Manmade Reefs, Riprap, Jetties/Dikes Commencing November 15, 2026, through April 3, 2027, the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers (USACE) will close the Chicago Harbor Lock to all navigation at River Mile 327 in Chicago, IL. This closure is required to facilitate structural repairs to the lock chamber walls and floors. Mariners are advised to plan voyages accordingly and seek alternate routes where applicable.
