General / Marine Construction (Excluding Bridges) / Dredging
Continuing until further notice, the Dredge GOETZ will be conducting dredging operations in the vicinity of Mile 269.9. Operations will be conducted 24-hours a day, 7-days a week. A channel closure will be in effect at times to facilitate expedient dredging at this location. The closure will consist of an alternating schedule of 8-hrs closed, 4-hrs open starting with a closure at 12:00 p.m. October 30, 2026, continuing through October 31, 2026. The attendant plant will include tender boats, small boats, barges and pipeline. Dredged material will be pumped through a pontoon pipeline or self-floating pipeline, which may cross the channel and will be placed outside of the navigation channel. Mariners should coordinate passing arrangements with the Dredge GOETZ on VHF-FM Channel 13, 16 or 82. Mariners are urged to transit at their slowest safe speed to minimize wake and proceed with caution after passing arrangements have been made.
