Continuing until October 2, 2026, Amherst Madison, a contractor for the USACE will be conducting debris removal from a riverbank failure in the vicinity of Mile 264.0. The contractor’s floating plant will consist of the M/V FLORENCE T., one material barge and one barge-mounted crane. Work will be conducted from 6:30 a.m. until 4:30 p.m., Monday through Friday. During non-working hours, the contractor’s floating plant will be moored at the worksite and lighted accordingly. The contractor’s floating plant will monitor VHF-FM Channels 13 and 16. Mariners are urged to transit the area at their slowest safe speed to minimize their wake and proceed with caution after passing arrangements have been made.
