Gulf of America - Pascagoula Anchorage - Safety Zone --- --- The U.S. Coast Guard has established a temporary Safety Zone in the Pascagoula Anchorage in the Gulf of America for the M/T KALAHARI while the vessel conducts repairs at anchorage. The Safety Zone encompasses all navigable waters from surface to bottom within a 1,000 meter radius of position 30-05.53N 088-24.96W. The Safety Zone will be enforced while the M/T KALAHARI is anchored at the above location. Entry into this zone by vessels or persons is prohibited unless specifically authorized by the U.S. Coast Guard Captain of the Port Mobile or the Captain of the Port’s designated representative. Mariners seeking permission to enter the Safety Zone may contact the U.S. Coast Guard on VHF-FM Channel 16 or by telephone at (251) 266-5888. Concerned parties may report any hazardous conditions to the U.S. Coast Guard Sector Mobile Command Center at (251) 266-5888 or Waterways Management Division at (251) 382-8653.
