MATAGORDA SHIP CHANNEL - MATAGORDA BAY

GIWW - Matagorda Bay - Breakwater Construction --- --- Breakwater construction will be conducted along the GIWW, between Miles 450.0 and 458.0, WHL. Intermittent pile driving will take place in the area as permanent markers are established. Work will be conducted during daylight hours, daily. On-scene vessels will include barges, fleeted outside of the channel in the work area, and the M/V BILLY GENE. Mariners are urged to transit the project area at their slowest safe speed to minimize wake and avoid shallow water in the area due to riprap placement. VHF-FM Channels: 13 and 72
