Location: 33-30.13N 080-27.38W Bridge Name: Interstate 95 Highway Bridge - Lake Marion The South Carolina Department of Transportation (SCDOT) bridge replacement project is schedule to begin on December 2, 2026, through April 11, 2028. Project improvements consist of constructing a new crossing main bridge north of the navigational channel to the southern terminus with a vertical clearance of 50 feet for the main bridge and 8 feet for the relief bridge, and horizontal clearance of 100 feet for the main bridge and 115 feet relief bridge between fenders. The installation of temporary work trestles and in-water equipment are scheduled to begin on December 2, 2026. Impacts to navigation are not expected at this time. The Coast Guard will provide advanced notice of impact to navigation. All mariners are advised to keep clear when possible and use caution when transiting the area.
