Location: 41-06.52N 072-23.17W Mariners are advised that the New York State Department of Environmental Conservation will conduct a hydrographic dye study of effluent from the Greenport Sewer District in and adjacent to Long Island Sound, near 41-06.52N 072-23.17W, from 25 through 31 October 2026. Operations will occur daily from 6:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m. and involve two to three vessels, 21 to 27 feet in length, conducting static and boat-towed fluorometer operations. Vessels will monitor VHF Channels 16 and 9 and are not expected to impede navigation. Mariners should exercise caution and transit the area at a safe speed.
