From October 15, 2026, to April 30, 2027, contractors will be conducting structural repairs and painting of the Oyster Harbors (West Bay) Bridge across West Bay at mile 1.2 in Osterville, MA. From October 15, 2026, to December 14, 2026, work will be conducted from platforms suspended from the low structural steel of each approach span. Vertical clearance beneath each approach span will be maintained at 10 feet above Mean High Water. From December 15, 2026, through April 30, 2027. Work platforms will be deployed from the low structural steel of the moveable span above the navigation channel. Vertical clearance beneath the moveable span will be maintained above 10 feet at Mean High Water. During this time frame, the moveable span will remain in the closed position and will not open for marine traffic. Vessels capable of transiting under the moveable span in the closed position may continue to do so. Mariners can obtain information about specific information about this project by contacting the on-site contractor at (857) 829-1047. Mariners are advised to exercise caution when transiting the area.
