Location: 40-44.16N 074-09.69W Bridge Name: Amtrak Dock Eastbound Bridge From September 29, 2026 through March 15, 2027, Monday-Friday, between 7:00 a.m. and 3:30 p.m. and in addition to the day work, night work from 11:30 p.m. to 4:30 a.m. will be performed from October 2, 2026 to October 18, 2026 for the rehabilitation and decommissioning on the Dock Bridges across the Passaic River at mile 5.0 between Newark and Harrison, NJ. Vertical clearance will not be reduced. The bridge remains in the closed position at 24 feet above Mean High Water. At no time will the navigational channel width be reduced from 120 linear feet. Mariners can contact the VTS for scheduled barge placements and mooring arrangements before planning to transit under the bridge via marine radio VHF-FM Ch. 13/16 or by calling the resident engineer at (917) 656-6820. Mariners are advised to exercise caution when transiting the area.
