NORTHERN CALIFORNIA-SAN FRANCISCO BAY-RICHMOND SAN RAFAEL BRIDGE-Painting has begun in the west span of the bridge. Below deck platforms are being installed in spans 33-34, 34-35, and 35-36. When in place the temporary platforms will reduce the vertical clearance in the spans by no more than 10’. The upstream and downstream lower edges of the temporary platform will be lighted at night with steady burning red lights. Work is taking place Monday through Friday, 7 pm to 1 pm the following day. For conditions at the bridge and location of barge and personnel, mariners can contact “CRANE BARGE 1” at 510-774-1204 or the contractor at 925-338-4332 or 510-386-9054 or 707-688-3738. Mariners should contact the work site at least 1 hour prior to transiting the west span for the location of personnel and equipment.
