On October 12, 2026, from 12:00 p.m. until 6:00 p.m., the Chunkin Pumpkins Marine Event will be held in the vicinity of Mile 595.8. During the event, participants will catapult pumpkins approximately 100 yards into the Ohio River from the Kentucky Riverbank. A safety vessel will be on-scene during the event. Mariners are advised to maintain a proper lookout and transit the area with caution. For more information, mariners can contact the event manager at (502) 643-4432.
