Biloxi Bay - Back Bay of Biloxi - Notice of Proposed Rulemaking - Bridge Remote Operations --- --- The U.S. Coast Guard proposes changing the operating procedures governing the CSX Drawbridge across the Back Bay of Biloxi, Mile 0.4, Biloxi, MS. CSX has requested operating certain bridges from a remote location within the CSX Seibert Railroad Yard located in Mobile, AL. Mariners are encouraged to review the proposed regulations and provide comments regarding potential impacts to navigation, vessel operations, bridge-opening requirements, and local waterways commerce. Comments and related material must be received by November 6, 2026. Comments may be submitted on Regulations.gov, under Federal Register Document Number 2026-20545. All comments received will be posted to the docket and considered before a final rule is issued.
