Calcasieu Lake - Lakeshore Canal - Marine Construction --- --- The installation of drainage structures will take place along the east shoreline of Calcasieu Lake. Work will include dredging, pile driving, the dredging and creation of temporary flotation channels, the installation of T-walls, rip rap placement, and the installation of subsea barrier mats. Work will take place 24-hours a day, 7-days a week. On-scene vessels and equipment will include a 27 ft workboat, a 39 ft dredge tender, floating and submerged pipeline, an excavator barge, a spud barge, and two crane barges. A portion of the Lakeshore Canal will be blocked during the removal of the existing sheet pile structure at Mangrove Bayou. Temporary warning signs will be installed in the area. Mariners are urged to maintain a safe distance from the worksite and transit at their slowest safe speed to minimize wake. POC: (337) 304-6308
