SECTOR HOUSTON-GALVESTON, SUBMERGED LAND ACT (SLA) - CALCASIEU RIVER

Calcasieu River - Bridge Construction --- --- Bridge construction will be conducted in the Calcasieu River near the existing I-10 Bridge at Mile 36.3. Operations will include marine pile driving, concrete footing/column/cap construction, girder erection, and deck construction. Work will be conducted 24-hours a day, 7-days a week. On-scene vessels will include the Crane Barges JOE TIMPHONY, BINGHAM STEWART, and 901.387, the Material Barges BOH 6, HENRY BOH, M8118, and M8119, two additional material barges, towing vessels, and a derrick barge. The channel near the bridge may be partially or completely obstructed during different phases of the operation. Mariners must coordinate with the on-scene vessels prior to transiting the area to ensure non-self propelled work boats can be moved out of the channel. Vessels are urged to transit the area at their slowest safe speed to minimize wake and proceed with caution. VHF-FM Channel: 68, POC: (225) 405-6116
