Port Mansfield Channel - Dredge Operation --- --- The Dredges GENERAL BRADLEY and GENERAL MARSHALL will conduct dredging operations in the Port Mansfield Channel, from just east of the jetties, through the entire inland portion of the Port Mansfield Channel, and into the Port Mansfield Harbor. The Dredge GENERAL MARSHALL will start working near Port Mansfield Channel Daybeacon 18 (LLNR-29360) with anchors set on either side of the channel. A combination of steel and HDPE pipeline will be used with floating rubber hose, floating pipe, submerged pipe and shore pipe leading to the placement areas at Bird Island and along the Padre Island Beach. Submerged pipelines will be placed across the channel in locations that provides sufficient depth and will be marked with lights and buoys. No fishing or trawling activities should take place along or within the area of pipeline, to avoid damage to nets, vessels, and the dredge equipment. Mariners are requested to coordinate passing arrangements 1-hour in advance and transit the area with extreme caution. VHF-FM Channels: 13 and 79, POC: Dredge (409) 739-6508
