HEAD OF PASSES TO NEW ORLEANS - INNER HARBOR NAVIGATION CANAL General / Marine Construction (Excluding Bridges) / Facilities, Barriers, Manmade Reefs, Riprap, Jetties / Dikes Inner Harbor Navigation Canal - GIWW - Lock Special Instructions --- Reported: 2024-09-09 --- While entering and exiting the Inner Harbor Navigation Canal (IHNC) Lock, mariners shall use EXTREME CAUTION, especially when navigating along the long guide walls on the river and canal ends of the structure. Tows are to approach the structure at a SLOW BELL SPEED. For additional information, mariners can contact the USACE/Lockmaster.
