Location: 26-05.78N 080-10.17W Bridge Name: South Florida Rail Corridor (SFRC) Railroad Bridge The Florida Department of Transportation (FDOT) will be conducting maintenance construction on the SFRC (CSX) Railroad Bridge / South Fork New River, mile 2.82, Fort Lauderdale, FL. Operations are scheduled to occur from November 30, 2026, to December 10, 2026. Under this temporary deviation, the SFRC (CSX) Railroad Bridge need not open to navigation during the following dates and times: - From Noon on November 30, 2026, through 4 p.m. December 4, 2026 - From 4:30 p.m. on November 30, 2026, through 8 p.m. December 4, 2026 - From Noon on December 7, 2026, through 4 p.m. December 10, 2026 - From 4:30 p.m. on December 7, 2026, through 8 p.m. December 10, 2026 At all other times, the drawbridge will remain in the fully open position except when it closes to navigation for the passage of rail traffic. All mariners are advised to keep clear when possible and use caution when transiting the area. The U.S. Coast Guard may be contacted via VHF-FM channel 16 or at (786) 295-9051.
