Location: 36-43.07N 076-06.01W Bridge Name: 165 State Route Bridge Mariners are advised that the highway drawbridge – 165 State Route (S165/North Landing) Bridge, across Atlantic Intracoastal Waterway (AIWW), North Landing River, mile 20.2, near Chesapeake, VA, will not be capable of normal operations. The north span is fully operational and the south span is inoperable. The south span will be maintained in the closed-to-navigation position. The north span of the bridge will operate in accordance with the operating regulations set out in Title 33 Code of Federal Regulations Part 117.1021. The horizontal clearance of the bridge with the north span in the open-to-navigation position and south span in the closed-to-navigation position will be approximately 35 feet, for the foreseeable future. The bridge will be unable to open for emergencies. Mariners should plan their transits accordingly, and should use extreme caution when transiting the area. MSI #57726.
