MAIN CHANNEL - BUTTERMILK CHANNEL General / Marine Construction (Excluding Bridges) / Facilities, Barriers, Manmade Reefs, Riprap, Jetties / Dikes Location: 40-41.19N 074-00.91W Mariners are advised that marine demolition and construction operations will be conducted at Yankee Pier, Governors Island, near Craig Road South and Division Road, Brooklyn, New York, at approximate position 40°41'11.2"N, 74°00'54.6"W. Work includes demolition of the existing pier and removal of a ferry barge, followed by installation of a pipe-pile-supported pier, precast pile caps and planks, cast-in-place topping slabs, a new barge and floating dock, monopiles, fendering, and associated marine appurtenances. Operations are scheduled from November 11, 2026, through December 6, 2028, generally Monday through Friday from 7:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m., with potential extended shifts during in-water work windows. Work vessels CB BERGEN and RTC 320 will be on scene. Mariners are urged to transit the area with caution and provide 24 hours’ notice to facilitate vessel movements and avoid impeding navigation.
