MAIN CHANNEL - EAST RIVER MAIN CHANNEL General / Marine Construction (Excluding Bridges) / Facilities, Barriers, Manmade Reefs, Riprap, Jetties / Dikes Location: 40-42.90N 073-58.46W MARINERS ARE ADVISED that precast erection operations for a new esplanade will be conducted on the East River between East Houston Street and East 14th Street, New York, NY, from 20 October 2026 through 30 March 2027, Monday through Friday, 6:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Operations will involve a 240-foot crane barge and 175-foot material barges in the vicinity of 40-42.90N 073-58.46W. Barge placements may extend up to 40 feet into the 1,300-foot-wide federal channel. Mariners are urged to transit at their slowest safe speed to minimize wake and proceed with caution. For passing arrangements, contact the tug DEBORAH QUINN on VHF Channels 13 or 66. Material barges require one-hour notice; the spud barge requires 24-hour notice Valid 2026-10-13 to 2027-03-31.
