LONG ISLAND SOUND WESTERN PART - BLACK ROCK HARBOR
General / Marine Construction (Excluding Bridges) / Boring and Core Samples
Mariners are advised that marine soil-boring operations will be conducted in Black Rock Harbor and Bridgeport Harbor, Connecticut, from approximately October 15 through November 8, 2026. Operations will involve the jack-up barge Smokey and crew boat Stanley. Work is scheduled in Black Rock Harbor from October 15 through October 29, generally between 7 a.m. and 7 p.m., followed by operations in Bridgeport Harbor from October 29 through November 8 on a continuous basis. Mariners are urged to exercise caution, maintain a safe speed and distance from work vessels and equipment, and contact vessels on VHF Channels 13 or 16 for passing arrangements.
