Location: 41-27.10N 072-27.87W Bridge Name: Rt 82 Bridge The Coast Guard has issued a temporary deviation from the regulation governing the operation of the Route 82 Bridge across the Connecticut River at mile 16.8. The deviation is needed to accommodate a Halloween event. Under this temporary deviation, the Route 82, East Haddam Swing Bridge will not open to marine traffic on October 17, 2026 on the 2pm and 3pm hourly openings, rain date for this event is October 18, 2026. To accommodate marine traffic, the bridge owner will provide additional openings available at 12:30 pm and 4:30 pm. Vessels able to pass under the bridge in the closed position will be allowed to do so. Mariners are advised to exercise caution when transiting the area.
