HUTCHINSON RIVER
General / Bridges / Repairs, Painting, Or Fender Replacement
NYCDOT is currently conducting emergency repairs to the Hutchinson River Parkway Bridge, mile 0.9, across the Hutchinson River in Bronx NY. During work hours (11:00 p.m. to 5:00 a.m.), a barge will reduce the horizontal clearance beneath the bridge by 30 feet. The barge will be relocated outside the navigable channel outside of work hours. A safety boat will be operating in the vicinity of the bridge. The resident engineer or contractor will be equipped with a VHF-FM marine radio and will be monitoring Channel 13/16 during hours of operation. Mariners can also contact 929-687-2807 for construction details. This project is scheduled to be completed by October 5, 2026.
