ActiveShoaling has been reported at the Barra de Esposende (mouth of the Rio Cávado) and navigation is restricted for safety from 06:00 UTC on 2 November 2026 until normal navigability is restored. Vessels with a draft greater than 0.3 metres may cross the bar only between 3 hours before and 3 hours after high water. Day and night signal indications will be displayed on the Esposende Rescue Station signal mast to inform mariners.
Vessels with draft greater than 0.3 m must transit the bar only from 3 hours before until 3 hours after high water. Observe signal mast at Esposende Rescue Station and navigate with caution.
