Trieste port guide

Trieste at the head of the Adriatic was Italy's busiest port in 2025 with 59.99 million tonnes and 681,717 TEU (Assoporti). It is the Mediterranean terminal of the Transalpine Pipeline (TAL), which carries crude oil to Austria, Germany and the Czech Republic, so liquid bulk dominates; it also has container terminals, RoRo links to Turkey and a free port regime with rail links to central Europe.
