ActiveTwo temporary AIS aids-to-navigation have been installed off Bahía Porvenir (Punta Palo) in the Strait of Magellan. A real (physical) AIS AtoN PORV transmits every 3 minutes with a 10 NM range at the first position. A virtual AIS AtoN BPOR transmits every 3 minutes with a 10 NM range referenced from Bahía Porvenir lighthouse at the second position. Mariners should note these AIS marks are temporary and use AIS and visual references accordingly.
