SECTOR NORTH CAROLINA, EXCLUSIVE ECONOMIC ZONE (EEZ)

Beginning 6 October until 23 October, the survey vessel Mobile Viking will be conducting a deep-water multibeam echo sounder (MBES) bathymetric survey offshore beginning at the EEZ, extending out to the 1000 meter contour off New Jersey, Delaware, Virginia and North Carolina). Operations comprise of hull-mounted multibeam bathymetry only. No geotechnical sampling, ROV, or AUV work will be conducted. These operations will be conducted 24 hours, 7 days a week. The survey vessel Mobile Viking will be restricted in ability to maneuver while on survey lines, request mariners transiting in the area to remain at least 2 nautical miles from their operation. Survey vessel Mobile Viking will be monitoring VHF-FM Channels 13 and 16. MSI #54983.
