Location: 38-22.95N 076-18.38W 38-11.73N 076-16.83W 38-07.65N 076-17.35W 38-07.98N 076-18.47W 38-22.86N 076-20.31W 38-22.95N 076-18.38W Contract company Jacobs will be conducted an underwater survey in the Chesapeake Bay utilizing one autonomous underwater vehicle (AUV), towing acoustic and geophysical, or a tethered remotely operated vehicle (ROV) with camera equipment from a 21-ft boat. The project will begin on 5 October 2026 and end on 31 March 2027 from 5:00 am to 7:00 pm daily. Vessels requested to maintain a 0.25 nm stand-off from the site. Vessels approaching the area requested hail ‘CH2M workboat’ via channel 16 and then shift to operating / working channel 72 to coordinate safe passage as required. CH2M workboat may require 30 minutes to facilitate recovery of ROV or AUV if deployed and to clear the site if necessary for safe passage of marine traffic. MSI #54862.
